Watch: Oh My Girl’s Arin, Kwon Hyun Bin, And More Navigate The Ups And Downs Of High School In “The World of My 17” Teaser + Posters

Published

on

The web drama remake of popular webtoon “The World of My 17” has dropped a teaser, main poster, as well as character posters!

“The World of My 17” tells the heartfelt story of friendship and growth in high school, where friends make up the entirety of one’s world. The web drama will translate this realistic story of 17-year-old students through short but impactful 15-minute episodes.

The drama stars Oh My Girl’s Arin, Kwon Hyun Bin, Hwang Bo Reum Byul, Han Chae Kyung, FANATICS’s Do Ah, and Ryeo Woon. All the actors pose happily in their main poster, which has bright retro vibes.

The producers of “The World of My 17” shared, “Since the actors were so expressive, it was difficult to capture it all in one poster. As the individuality of each character is so concrete, we believe the viewers will also find them charming. Please look forward to the premiere.”

The actors continued to show off their unique charms in each of their character posters, including some photos showing the close resemblance between the actor and webtoon character!

Oh My Girl’s Arin stars as Oh Na Ri, who dreams of a regular school life.

Hwang Bo Reum Byul plays Oh Na Ri’s perfect and classy friend Im Yoo Na.

Han Chae Kyung will portray idol trainee Seo Mi Rae, who is popular among the students.

FANATICS’s Do Ah will play Im Sun Ji, who appears very innocent on the outside but is the first to stand up for Oh Na Ri when she faces trouble.

Kwon Hyun Bin will play popular idol Jung Woo Kyung.

Ryeo Woon plays Oh Na Ri’s handsome friend.

The teaser begins with Oh Na Ri’s first day of high school. She exclaims, “To be honest, I was in such a good mood on my way to school. And then, I saw Im Yoo Na,” who is her ex-best friend. As the two develop a friendship with Im Sun Ji and Seo Mi Rae, Yoo Na begins to express jealousy, telling Na Ri, “Taking care of them annoys me. Your only friend is me.”

Im Sun Ji on the other hand tells Yoo Na, “I’ve gotten what I really wanted. To make real friends.” Seo Mi Rae finds jealousy elsewhere in her relationship with Jung Woo Kyung.

As Na Ri navigates her way through high school, she tells herself, “If I show the real version of myself, I think others will respond with sincerity. So, if there’s a friend I miss, let’s be courageous and approach them first. You never know if your world will shine brightly too.”

The producers of “The World of My 17” commented, “There’s fun in observing the individual charms of each main character and looking at their friendship and chemistry. In particular, we expect that Oh My Girl’s Arin, who is trying out short hair and acting for the first time since her debut, will catch the attention of all viewers.”

“The World of My 17” premiered on April 22 and airs every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. KST on V Live and Naver TV.

Watch: Jang Nara And Go Joon Show Off Their Chemistry + Park Byung Eun Soothes Baby Behind The Scenes Of “Oh My Baby”

Published

on

tvN’s “Oh My Baby” has released a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the first few episodes!

The making-of video begins with an introduction from Jang Nara. “I was actually pretty nervous about the first filming,” she admitted. “Since it was my first time in a long time playing such a fun and goofy character, I think that made me more nervous.”

Jang Nara then practices throwing darts on set together with Go Joon, who holds her arm and shows her how to aim. Go Joon even receives praise from the director, who is surprised that he scored 50 points twice during the filming.

“She’s very cute and considerate of others,” Go Joon said of Jang Nara. “I’m sure we’ll get closer and more comfortable with each other as the filming continues, so I’m excited to see how our chemistry will turn out when we’re not nervous.”

Go Joon then checks out a trick eye museum full of various optical illusions. He turns a checkered hallway into a runway as he casually walks towards the camera, and he tilts his head to observe a piece of art that is turned on its side. Go Joon looks around the room and remarks, “We’re living in luxury while filming this drama.”

Actor Park Byung Eun then introduces himself. He describes a scene for the upcoming episode, saying, “Today is the day that the male lead characters gather together for the first time, so I was curious to see how we would get along.” The three male leads are seen climbing up the stairs and turning their heads in unison at the sound of Jang Nara’s voice. After finishing the scene, Park Byung Eun turns to the staff and playfully demands to know who laughed while they were filming.

Later on, Park Byung Eun shows off the baby doll that he films with, as well as the real baby. When the baby bursts into tears, the actor kindly tries to soothe her with a squeaking toy. He concluded, “We need to keep filming for the next few months, but I think today proved that we’ll be able to get along well and film good scenes.”

Jung Gun Joo spoke highly of his co-stars, commenting, “The other actors were very considerate, and thanks to that I was able to feel comfortable acting. I was able to finish the first filming since the staff and my fellow actors took such good care of me.”

Jung Gun Joo and Jang Nara then select the directors as the mood makers on set, and one of the directors pretends to act as if he’s hard at work when he realizes that the camera is filming him. Jang Nara teases him as she looks over her script, saying, “Director, your acting isn’t that great.”

At the end of the video, the actors express their love for the viewers and ask for continued interest in the drama.

Check out the full making-of video below!

“Oh My Baby” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:50 p.m. KST.
