“Vagabond” + “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” Lead Weekend Dramas As “Golden Garden” Achieves Its Highest Ratings Yet

MBC’s “Golden Garden” is on the rise!

According to Nielsen Korea, the October 5 episode of the mystery romance drama achieved its highest viewership ratings yet. The latest broadcast of “Golden Garden” scored average nationwide ratings of 6.6 percent, 9.3 percent, and 9.6 percent for its three parts, peaking at 10.2 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.

KBS 2TV’s new weekend drama “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” successfully defended its position as the most-watched drama of the night, scoring average ratings of 18.5 percent and 20.7 percent nationwide.

SBS’s “Vagabond” also stayed strong, scoring average nationwide ratings of 7.2 percent, 10 percent, and 11.3 percent for its three parts. The espionage thriller peaked at 13.2 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area towards the end of its broadcast.

JTBC’s new historical drama “My Country” enjoyed a slight increase in its viewership for its second episode on October 5, scoring an average nationwide rating of 3.8 percent (the drama premiered to an average rating of 3.5 percent the night before).

Finally, tvN’s new romantic comedy “Melting Me Softly” held steady with an average nationwide rating of 3.2 percent and a peak of 4.0 percent, while the penultimate episode of OCN’s thriller “Strangers from Hell” scored an average of 2.4 percent for the night.
