MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” has released new behind-the-scenes stills to celebrate their first place spot in viewership ratings for the Wednesday-Thursday time slot!

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” is about the romance that blossoms between an aspiring palace historian named Goo Hae Ryung (played by Shin Se Kyung) and a lonely prince named Lee Rim (played by ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo). In the recent episodes, Lee Rim and Goo Hae Ryung have headed out to Pyongan Province to take measures against smallpox.

Episodes 14 and 16 of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” achieved 7 percent and 6.5 percent in viewership ratings respectively, with 2.5 percent and 2 percent viewership ratings among viewers from ages 20 to 49. According to Good Data Corporation, the drama ranked as the No. 1 buzzworthy drama in its time slot for the first week of August.

The plot has been made even more captivating with characters such as the Crown Prince Lee Jin (Park Ki Woong), who showcases extreme love for Lee Rim; historian Min Wo Won (Lee Ji Hoon), who assists Goo Hae Ryung in becoming an outstanding historian; and Song Sa Hee (Park Ji Hyun), who works to stop her father’s corruption.

In the stills, Shin Se Kyung and Cha Eun Woo liven up the set with their refreshing smiles. The new behind-the-scenes photos show Shin Se Kyung taking care of the young actors and Cha Eun Woo monitoring his acting while also showcasing his friendship with Park Ki Woong and Sung Ji Ru.

Park Ki Woong is also shown taking care of Cha Eun Woo as if he were his younger brother while having an intense moment with Park Ji Hyun, making viewers curious about what’s to come.

 

Lee Ye Rim, Jang Yoo Bin, and Seo Young Joohave also been captured by the camera showcasing their bright smiles. Meanwhile, Lee Ji Hoon and Park Ji Hyun share a rare smile towards the camera.

The production team shared, “Thanks to the love sent by the viewers, we’re filming happily with thankful hearts. After Hae Ryung and Lee Rim return to the palace following their successful pacification, they’ll gradually get to learn of each other’s feelings for one another, so please watch.”
