“Dr. Romantic 2” Main Cast Says Goodbye To Their Drama + Talks About Possible Season 3

Published

on

Just ahead of its finale on February 25, the cast of SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 2” shared their thoughts and feelings on their drama coming to an end.

Han Suk Kyu, who plays the titular Dr. Kim, said, “Kim Sa Bu is a character who has a lot of the same values and perspectives on life that I have. Through him, I was able to learn a lot as a person, and through him, I was able to express a lot of the things that I have been thinking about for a long time. He is meaningful to me in many ways.”

He continued, “As we were wrapping our final shoot, I felt sad. Before Season 2 began, all the cast and crew were really nervous, but when the viewers showed us such great support from the very first episode, it gave us strength. We were able to work hard until the end because we felt a sense of responsibility to give back to the viewers.”

About the possibility of Season 3, he said, “If the opportunity arises, I will wait with hope and anticipation for a third season.”

He concluded, “An actor is meaningless without people to watch him. Thank you very much for your support. Please take care of your health, and I hope you will all be able to achieve what you want to achieve in life.”

Lee Sung Kyung, who plays surgery fellow Cha Eun Jae, said, “I was happy beyond measure to be able to work on such a great production with such amazing actors and production staff members. I loved everything about this production. That is why it’s hard for me to leave Doldam Hospital. Thank you very much to the viewers who loved and related to ‘Dr. Romantic 2.’”

Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays surgery fellow Seo Woo Jin, said, “I would like to thank the best production staff, the best director, our teacher Han Suk Kyu, and all the actors for working hard behind-the-scenes during the five months we toiled on ‘Dr. Romantic 2.’ It was an honor to work with you all. More than anything, I sincerely thank the viewers who watched over us with love. It was thanks to your support that Seo Woo Jin was born, and thanks to you that I was able to mature alongside him. I hope that many people found romance again in life through ‘Dr. Romantic 2.’”

“Dr. Romantic 2” airs its final episode on February 25 at 9:40 p.m.

Watch: Jang Nara And Go Joon Show Off Their Chemistry + Park Byung Eun Soothes Baby Behind The Scenes Of “Oh My Baby”

Published

on

tvN’s “Oh My Baby” has released a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the first few episodes!

The making-of video begins with an introduction from Jang Nara. “I was actually pretty nervous about the first filming,” she admitted. “Since it was my first time in a long time playing such a fun and goofy character, I think that made me more nervous.”

Jang Nara then practices throwing darts on set together with Go Joon, who holds her arm and shows her how to aim. Go Joon even receives praise from the director, who is surprised that he scored 50 points twice during the filming.

“She’s very cute and considerate of others,” Go Joon said of Jang Nara. “I’m sure we’ll get closer and more comfortable with each other as the filming continues, so I’m excited to see how our chemistry will turn out when we’re not nervous.”

Go Joon then checks out a trick eye museum full of various optical illusions. He turns a checkered hallway into a runway as he casually walks towards the camera, and he tilts his head to observe a piece of art that is turned on its side. Go Joon looks around the room and remarks, “We’re living in luxury while filming this drama.”

Actor Park Byung Eun then introduces himself. He describes a scene for the upcoming episode, saying, “Today is the day that the male lead characters gather together for the first time, so I was curious to see how we would get along.” The three male leads are seen climbing up the stairs and turning their heads in unison at the sound of Jang Nara’s voice. After finishing the scene, Park Byung Eun turns to the staff and playfully demands to know who laughed while they were filming.

Later on, Park Byung Eun shows off the baby doll that he films with, as well as the real baby. When the baby bursts into tears, the actor kindly tries to soothe her with a squeaking toy. He concluded, “We need to keep filming for the next few months, but I think today proved that we’ll be able to get along well and film good scenes.”

Jung Gun Joo spoke highly of his co-stars, commenting, “The other actors were very considerate, and thanks to that I was able to feel comfortable acting. I was able to finish the first filming since the staff and my fellow actors took such good care of me.”

Jung Gun Joo and Jang Nara then select the directors as the mood makers on set, and one of the directors pretends to act as if he’s hard at work when he realizes that the camera is filming him. Jang Nara teases him as she looks over her script, saying, “Director, your acting isn’t that great.”

At the end of the video, the actors express their love for the viewers and ask for continued interest in the drama.

“Oh My Baby” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:50 p.m. KST.

“The King: Eternal Monarch” Ratings Rise After Falling For 3 Consecutive Episodes

Published

SBS’s “The King: Eternal Monarch” has successfully reversed its downward trend!

After suffering a decline in viewership ratings for three consecutive episodes, SBS’s “The King: Eternal Monarch” enjoyed a slight uptick in its ratings on May 16. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the drama scored average nationwide ratings of 6.4 percent and 7.8 percent for its two parts, marking a significant increase in viewership from its previous episode the night before.

Notably, “The King: Eternal Monarch” saw a rise in viewership despite facing stiff competition from the series finale of JTBC’s ratings juggernaut “The World of the Married,” which set a new record for the highest drama ratings in Korean cable network history last night.

tvN’s “When My Love Blooms” maintained its average nationwide rating of 3.9 percent from its previous episode, while KBS 2TV’s “Once Again” stayed strong with average ratings of 22.0 percent and 27.2 percent for its two parts.
